Welcome to the new home of the Maple Ridge Concert Band

Maple Ridge Bandstand

The Maple Ridge Concert Band is a community band made up of 40 or so members of all ages and musical abilities.

Our prime objectives are to provide a friendly atmosphere for our weekly rehearsals, endeavour to promote the performing arts, and to share our musical camaraderie and enthusiasm with our peers and our community.

The Maple Ridge Concert Band has been around for some 50+ years, although we became a registered non-profit society in October, 1991. We are always accepting new members of any age with previous band experience. The band plays a variety of music, from symphonic works for wind ensemble to big band swing, traditional hymns to dixieland, and Sousa to Broadway musicals.

Our current musical Director is Ed Dumas, who is employed as a music teacher in the Maple Ridge School District at Thomas Haney Secondary School.

We rehearse Tuesday evenings between 7:30 and 9:30pm at Thomas Haney scondary in Maple Ridge. New members are always welcome to come out and join us.

Under the constitution of our Society, we conduct an annual general meeting (usually around the middle of June) at which time we elect a Board of Directors for the following year.
